Company Description Turning Point RCS specializes in Revenue Cycle positions in Hospitals, Physician Offices and CBO.
Job Description JOB REQUIREMENTS:
o High school diploma or GED required.
o Basic bookkeeping principles, statistical reporting, general business procedures, knowledge of registration, collection, and billing rules and regulations are required.
o Two year's experience in a similar position in a healthcare field preferred.
o Medical terminology, ICD9, CPT4, HCPCS, and coding conventions preferred.
o Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-cal, and Commercial billing requirements including UB92, 1500, claims and correspondence, Medi-cal Claim Inquiry Form and appeals preferred.
o Working knowledge of hospital information systems such as MS4.
o Knowledge of Electronic Billing Software preferred.
o Knowledge of how to read and interpret insurance billing and coverage bulletins, HIPAA, EMTALA, ABN, MSP and other payer regulations, remittance advices and explanation of benefits.
o Recent experience utilizing a hospital patient accounting system, electronic claims management, and an understanding of billing regulations preferred.
