Purchasing and Inventory Specialist located at our plant in Willow, CA.
The Willows, California plant produces fiber glass building insulation for retail, contractor, and commercial applications.
Responsibilities Ensure that all purchasing activities are conducted within the Global Procure to Pay Policy and Procedures Ensure that Corporate Supply Chain initiatives are implemented Assist with the development of the annual budget on spend Manage and renew 43 materials and services contracts for the plant Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with suppliers, align needs and values with suppliers capabilities, assess suppliers against established performance criteria, and handle non-conforming or sub-standard vendor performance Perform administrative tasks associated with purchases Ensure adequate raw material are available and on site for production requirements Manage specialized equipment (spinners) inventory and reporting Create receiving report for all raw materials High School with relevant experience, BA/BS degree preferred 5 years of purchasing experience 2
years of experience purchasing in a manufacturing facility Basic knowledge of inventory management including purchasing contracts Expert Customer Service Skills Basic SAP/ERP skills preferred We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity employer.
