Benefits Medical Teladoc Dental Vision Medical - FSA 401k match up to 4% Paid Time Off Floating Paid Holiday We are looking for a Purchasing Agent that has experience in identifying suppliers and researching for good and services for an Electrical Contractor and familiar with all Markets listed below.
Residential Commercial Industrial Solar Responsible for the timely placement of purchase orders and delivery of materials to meet customer order and project requirements, and maintain stock inventory levels within approved guidelines.
Essential Job Functions:
Purchasing material for inventory and non-stock items for project and customer orders Create Purchase Orders for service and project material request.
All processes of RFQ, through generation of final PO to awarded vendor Reviewing Purchase Orders and/or email PO's to vendors Monitoring to make sure emailed PO's went through and confirm expected ship dates and updating system Resolving errors on Purchase Orders as required Investigating and determining what/how/why material came in incorrectly or damaged (for non conformances) Reviewing open Purchase Orders as required Reconciliation of invoice to PO's, coding invoices Filing Purchase Orders Assisting with cycle counts Reviewing reports for stock outs and expediting open orders Monitoring prices increases and communicating changes as necessary Assisting with stock checks as needed Reviewing line points/order points for inventory stock levels Establishing annual product baseline with vendors based on projected and secured work.
Tasks are diversified and follow a wide range of standardized slightly complex procedures Decision Making & Problem Solving:
Tasks are considered semi-routine and may be of several varieties Moderate exercise of judgment generally covered by standards and precedents Analysis of data generally applied to the solution of specific problems Problems may occur as a regular part of the job Employee works on assigned objectives and may work occasionally independently on special projects Independence of Action:
Occasional supervision required.
Employee works along on routine work and checks with Supervisor only when in doubt Production generally precedes a check on the quality of work.
Established methods and procedures are clearly established and general instructions provided Contacts - Internal and External:
Contacts of importance are a regular part of the responsibilities of the position Tact and judgment are required when dealing with others Internal Contacts - Presenting information where tact and judgment is required to obtain approval of action, cooperation or secure a decision External Contacts - Regular contact when dealing with outside contacts however, procedures and standards are established and are to be followed Essential Job Requirements:
Driving:
Current, valid Driver License for State where you will drive, meet company auto insurance qualifications Travel:
None Education:
High School Diploma or GED required; Post secondary courses in Purchasing preferred; Bachelor degree preferred
Experience:
3 years related experience Required skills:
Computer skills, typing, phone skills, communication skills, Microsoft Excel and Word, Written and Oral communication Preferences:
Electrical industry knowledge, 5 year equivocal or Post secondary courses in Purchasing.
Physical Requirements:
Push, pull, balance, walk, stoop and handle material, able to sit at desk for periods, drive company vehicles; reading of work related material; may require considerable visual attention with attention to detail.
