Position
Summary: The primary responsibility of the Business Application Analyst role is to solicit, define, manage and provide support requirements for the Bank's primary business applications. This individual should have experience with Software Development Life Cycle methodology and have the ability to work with Business Units, Training, Business Application Analysts, consultants, vendors, etc.
Responsibilities include coordinating change control, testing, and production installation of changes, release upgrades for existing applications and implementation of new applications as required along with application maintenance and problem solving. The Business Application Analyst can expect to lead or work with Project Management on various Bank projects associated with their application(s).
This position will help define the business requirements and technology-independent process and data models for technology solutions that meet the needs for various business areas and will bridge the gap between the Business Units and the technology solution providers (e.g., vendors, infrastructure teams and consultants).
Major
Responsibilities:
Maintain primary responsibility over key business applications focused either in lending, deposit or administrative areas.
Partnering with Business Units to fully surface their requirements; conducting interviews with key project stakeholders, documenting and presenting the results.
Assisting Business Units, project managers and leadership in optimizing the scope, benefits and risks of proposed projects; help manage expectations of users and management.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to maintain efficiency, consistency and achieve successful implementation and support of applications.
Manage allocation and implementation of tasks and provide assistance for project plan development.
Research new banking account products or changes to existing banking account products for implementation.
Work closely with Business Units and other Business Application Analysts on vendor release enhancement research, testing and production implementation.
Analyzing the impact of change requests, including scoping change requests submitted.
Participate in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle.
Analyze and review enhancements within assigned applications for compatibility, adhere to operating guidelines, change control procedures and perform integration testing.
Collaborate with User Acceptance Teams and Business Units to create test plans, analyses test cases, identify issues and determine plan to address issues.
Assist in the definition of application project roll out, training and user support plans.
Assist with the creation and/or review of application manuals, procedures, and related user documentation; ensuring application documentation is targeted to the appropriate audience.
Presenting concepts in a concise and focused manner, including narrative, process diagrams, role and accountability diagrams and business-focused story boards.
Monitor, maintain and document change control documentation within the Bank's change control application.
Assist/participate in data mapping, data conversion, and balancing for specific applications in association with acquisitions.
Acts as a liaison between Business Units, information technology, consultants, vendors and other areas within the organization related to analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of assigned applications to ensure optimal operational performance.

Maintain general workflow knowledge related to applications assigned.
Prepare and present status reports to management related to assigned applications and projects.
Maintains a current understanding of Bank procedures and policies, in compliance with all state and federal laws, including but not limited to Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, confidentiality regulations and FDIC and interagency requirements.
Education, Experience, And Other Skills Required:
High school graduate minimum, degree in computer science preferred.
Three to five years related work experience.
Experience with banking/financial services industries preferred, especially within Deposit and/or Loan applications.
Good working knowledge of how information systems integrate with and support applications, with strong analytical and technical skills.
Strong skills related to time management and organization.
Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems/issues in a multi-departmental environment.
Highly self-motivated and directed with the ability to work under pressure and manage projects within budget and timelines.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Strong customer service orientation.
Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail.
Interviewing and listening skills to elicit detailed requirements from Business Units, department managers, end users and executive management.
Analytical skills for transforming and communicating defined business needs to appropriate information systems, vendors and consultant personnel for development in new and/or existing applications, services and/or systems.
Verbal and written communication skills, ability to create effective requirement documents and review them with key project stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.
Experience with any or all of the following is highly desirable: Core banking software, data warehouse report writing and Microsoft Office products, with a strong understanding of Excel.
Ability to provide leadership and coaching to less experienced Business Applications Analysts.
Project Management knowledge/experience is preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
