Some of the duties include, but are not limited to Coordinates with the team to review clinic utilization using various reports, ensures that the clinic setup is closely monitored to effectively support the needs of the clinic, and makes necessary adjustments. Participates in team huddles and team meetings to manage and plan patient care:
sets priorities and deadlines, adjusts the flow and sequence of work to meet team and patient needs:
works with the team to reinforce the plan of care and self-help solutions. Participates in problem solving. Provides input on operational issues or procedures in team meetings; participates in and independently follows up on team huddles by sharing information and collaborating with the medical team to assure continuity of care:
informs and educates providers about shared patients (those receiving care at multiple VA locations or in the community); contacts patients to coordinate follow-up care. Enters, manipulates, and retrieves information and data from Vista and other clinical information systems as appropriate to area assigned. Schedules and coordinates appointments for patients with various clinics, ensuring all treatment requested by the physician has been scheduled, and rescheduling appointments when necessary. Explains necessary test preparations to patients. Obtains and reviews medical records of patients prior to scheduled appointments. Maintains all patients' records, either electronic or paper, according to regulation ensuring each entry contains proper patient and health care provider identification. Work Schedule:

United States Citizenship:
Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Six months of experience of clerical, office or other work that indicates the ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position; OR one year of education above high school; OR an equivalent combination of this experience and education. GS-6 next to the lower grade level (GS-5). Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities. Candidates must demonstrate all of the KSAs below:
Ability to collaborate and communicate with a wide range of medical clinicians across multiple disciplines (e.g. medical doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, clinical pharmacists, and nursing staff to accomplish team goal setting to ensure medical care to patients is met). Ability to independently set priorities and organize work to meet deadlines, ensuring compliance with established processes, policies, and regulations. Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively, electronically, by phone, in person, and in writing, with internal and external customers. This may include preparing reports in various formats and presenting data to various organizational levels, as well as resolving patient concerns Advanced knowledge of the technical health care process (including, but not limited to, scheduling across interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery and/or care in the community models and patient health care portals) as it relates to access to care. Advanced knowledge of policies and procedures associated with interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery and/or care in the community operational activities that affect patient flow, and patient support care administrative functions to include, but not limited to appointment cycles, outside patient referrals, follow-up care, overbooking, provider availability, etc. Advanced knowledge of medical terminology due to the technical nature of language utilized by clinicians. The position consists of sedentary and active tasks. Sedentary tasks include but are not limited to; sitting at a desk, utilizing a computer, and completing phone calls and charting. Active tasks include but are not limited to; walking, standing, bending, steps, squatting, reaching above and below your head and carrying of light items such as books, papers, and adaptive equipment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
